So proficient are the instructors at the illustrious Guards Polo Academy that they will have even those who have never sat on a pony before hitting balls from the saddle within an hour.

Expert coaches and 40 well-behaved ponies work together to create a safe and secure learning environment in an unbeatable parkland setting. Newcomers will enjoy a thorough but fun introduction to polo in beautifully landscaped grounds where the sport has been played for over six decades.

More experienced players will benefit from laser-focused bespoke lessons designed to further the grasp of a specific skill, technique or particular aspect of the game. Top class coaches and a superb range of polo ponies ensure that every playing level is catered for.

A broad program of lessons is available ranging from individually tailored one-off sessions to multi-day instruction. Full-length residential courses, popular with overseas visitors wishing to polish their polo skills whilst visiting the United Kingdom, are also available.

Alongside a rich instructional program, the Academy offers plenty of opportunities for players to participate in practice matches. All equipment, including helmets and mallets, is provided.

While Guards Polo Club is situated in Windsor Great Park, Guards Polo Academy instruction takes place in neighboring Coworth Park, on two polo grounds set which are managed by Guards Polo Club. These excellent fields are situated in the grounds of luxury country house hotel, Coworth Park.

Located at the center of Windsor Great Park, this prestigious club is surrounded by mature woodland and glittering lakes overlooked by royal residence, Windsor Castle.
Stroll through the 13th-century deer park then discover the fascinating history of the world's largest inhabited palace, built in the 11th century.
In the club house, world-class meals are prepared by caterers to the Royal Family, Mosimann's, and served on a veranda overlooking the Queen's Ground.
From here, a short walk towards the grandstand will take you to an exclusive on-site Saddlery and polo lifestyle store which is the UK home of La Martina. Inside you will find key items from the beautiful bespoke ‘Guards Polo Club Collection by La Martina.'
In Windsor, a theatre, restaurants, traditional tea rooms and several absorbing museums await your pleasure. Or, combine your polo experience with a visit to nearby Legoland, a tour of grand National Trust property Cliveden House or a relaxing boat ride on the River Thames.

There is no accommodation based on-site at Guards Polo Club but the Guards Academy is run out of Coworth Park, the world class Dorchester Hotel which is five minutes from Guards and the Club’s first recommendation. Some of the Guards Polo Club highest level tournaments are also played at Coworth, enabling guests to enjoy watching competitive polo during their stay.

Coworth Park forms a key part of the Dorchester Group, and is situated in 240 acres of beautiful Berkshire countryside, just 5 minutes from the top class Wentworth Golf Club, 10 minutes from Royal Ascot Racecourse and 5 minutes from Guards Polo Club.  Coworth Park was also the venue of choice for Prince Harry and his Groomsmen before his wedding day.
